Ophthalmic Medications
Tarivid Eye Drops(Ofloxacin)
Tarivid is an antibiotic, and used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, such as conjunctivitis and hordeolum- Side Effects
- @ Check with your doctor immediately if the following side effect occurs:
Rash, itching, swelling, troubled breathing, anxious、pale, or cold sweat .
A Discontinue using the medication if the following side effect occurs: Redness of eye or eyelid, feeling of something in the eye, eye pain, or/and stinging etc. - Precautions
- Be sure to tell your doctor if you are pregnant , breastfeeding, or using other eye drops
- Side Effects
- The digestive side effects may be upset stomach and diarrhea, and the other may be drowsiness or dizziness etc. Some side effects can be serious, like blood abnormal, hives, itching, blisters, headache, difficulty sleeping, uneasiness, and aggressive behavior etc.
Neubormitin Ointment(Dipotassium Glycyrhizinate)
It acts by reducing eye allergy and eye inflammation, and helps heal the injured mucous- Side Effects
- There are few side effects. If redness and itching get worse after using, check with your doctor.
- Precautions
- Immediately wipe off any excess ointment from around the eye because crusting of ointment on eyelids may cause them to stick together. The cause of eye allergy may be different for every individual, such as pollen, dust, tick, and fungi etc. If you have known which allergen you are allergic to, you should avoid or get rid of it.
Rinderon-A Eye Drops (A synthetic corticosteroid combined with antibiotic)
It releases itch and pain by reducing redness and swelling caused by inflammation, and is adequate if a bacteria infection is accompanied. This medication contains Betamethasone, a steroid which can reduce inflammation, and Fradiomycin, an antibiotic which can inhibit bacteria.- Side Effects
- If it is used for short periods of time, no need to worry about side effects. But prolonged use of the medication may cause infection, intraocular pressure rise, or/and glaucoma etc.
- Precaution
- Do not apply to infections caused by viruses, tubercle bacillus, and fungi.
- Contraindications
- Do not apply to Corneal abrasion and Corneal ulcer.
Intal Eye Drops(Anti-allergic Conjunctivitis)(Sodium Cromoglycate)
Usually apply to allergic conjunctivitis caused by pollinosis etc. Use 1 or 2 drops in eye, 3 to 4 times daily.- Side Effects
- If itch and irritation get worse, discontinue using. If there is redness around the eye, discontinue using.
- Precautions
- Other eye drops may need to be shared if symptoms get worse.
To avoid contamination, do not touch the container tip or let it touch the eye.
After opening a container of the eye drops, use up within one month(only if it is kept clean).
