Dexaltin Ointment（Dexamethasone）

Dexaltin is a kind of steroid ointments. Steroids are very effective against inflammation. Using dexaltin ointment over an affected area can reduce swelling and relieve itching and pain.

Precautions

Because dexaltin may worsen oral bacterial and fungal infections, generally it can not be used in the situations. Before applying to the affected area, wipe saliva away with gauze. Ointment forms a membrane to protect the affected area. No need to use too much at one time because it may make your mouth feel uncomfortable. After using the ointment、avoid eating or drinking for a while.

Side Effects

For a few days use, no need to worry about side effects, but long term use may cause new stomatitis. If symptoms are not improved or new stomatitis occurs during dexaltin ointment use, consult with your doctor.
