The medications we prescribed

Anti-histamine Medications

Antihistamines are used to relieve itching skin caused by hives or atopic dermatitis, to treat rhinitis, and to release cold symptoms, such as runny nose, stuffiness and sneezing etc. Once histamine attaches to histamine receptors that are present on the surface of most cells, allergic symptoms such as itching and runny nose etc will occur. Antihistamines reduce allergic symptoms by blocking histamine receptors. Because the medications also act on brain cells, there may have side effects, such as drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness and distraction etc. Pay close attention while driving a motor vehicle or operating a machine. Alcohol can increase ant-histamine effectiveness so avoid drinking alcohol while taking the medications.
