Antifungal Medications [Ointments]

Antifungal medications treat various fungal infections. Candida albicans, a kind of fungus, is normally found on skin but able to cause infection when skin condition becomes warm and moist. Antifungal medications act on killing or inhibiting fungus. When diaper dermatitis and cutaneous candidiasis is indistinguishable, non-steroid anti-inflammation and steroid medications may be prescribed. If symptoms can not be settled, the medication will switch to antifungal drugs.
Applications
Apply to the affected area 2 or 3 times daily (4 times daily for oral use).
Precautions
It can not be applied to cornea and conjunctival. If steroids are used in candidal dermatitis or antifungal medications in eczematous dermatitis, symptoms may be worsened because of the topical irritation.

Florid-D

Women who are pregnant within 3 months or may have a possibility of pregnancy need to consult a doctor before use.
Side Effects
Redness, red spots, itching and rashes etc.

FLORID ORAL GEL

Do not use while you are pregnant or have a possibility of pregnancy. Do not use while you are taking the medications of fexofenadine hydrochloride, astemizole (anti-allergy) and cisapride (a motility enhancement drug for gastrointestinal disorders) because the side effects on cardiovascular system may occur. It is usually used in a two-week period. If symptoms are not improved after one week use, visit your doctor for instruction.
Side Effects
Nausea, lack of appetite, and painful mouth etc.
